GPS donates generator for local music festival

Feb 21, 2022 • 2 min read

Family-run business, Generated Power Services (GPS), has generously donated a generator to help power the local music festival, Stortford Heroes: Party in the Park.

Party in the Park, sponsored by ITVET Ltd (the parent company of Retail Report), takes place on Saturday 16th July 2022 at Sworders Field with a fantastic music line up, food stalls, a tennis tournament, and much more.

It’s a non-profit event focused on giving back to the community and celebrating local heroes. The festival relies on the generosity and kindness of local businesses and volunteers with all proceeds going to charity.

Russell Smith, owner of GPS, said: “When we heard about Stortford Heroes, we wanted to get involved! The pandemic truly showed us some of the best parts of humanity. It’s amazing to have an event to say thanks to those selfless individuals while also bringing our community together after two years of restrictions.”

CEO of ITVET Ltd, Richard Fountain, said: “We’re blown away with the support from GPS! We really appreciate local businesses like GPS coming on board to help us put on such an important event for our community. It’s a real show of community spirit.”

Stortford Heroes calls on other local businesses to support the festival. Whether that’s skills and expertise, donations, or just your time – all contributions are welcome. If you would like to get involved, please visit www.stortfordheroes.co.uk/get-involved.
