IT company’s music festival raises over £8,500 for charity

Aug 25, 2022 • 3 min read

Local IT support and technology provider, ITVET, has raised over £8,500 for local charities after hosting a music festival.

Party in the Park was aimed at celebrating local heroes and raising money for charity. It was the first major event hosted by Stortford Heroes – A new charity set up by local technology company, ITVET, dedicated to investing in the community and supporting charity partners.

The festival raised money through tickets, corporate donations, money collected on the day, and a donation page on the website, which is still open to donations. Extra contributions were kindly donated by the headline sponsor, Intercounty Estate and Letting Agents, and McMullen Brewing and Pubs.

Donors were given the choice of which charity to directly donate to out of Bishop’s Stortford Food Bank, Grove Cottage, Centre Algarve, and ITVET’s own Stortford Heroes charity. All donations received by Stortford Heroes will now be split between the other three headline charities.

CEO of ITVET Ltd, Daryl Fuller, said: “It’s been great to be able to raise this amount of money for charity, and the beauty of it was we also had fun doing it and recognised those who work so hard for our community, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Times are tough for charities right now. We’re pleased that we can help support these charities so they can continue the amazing work that they do. A big thank you to everyone who donated, especially Intercounty and all the other sponsors. Not forgetting the artists and bands – They were brilliant!”

From litter picking around town, fundraising and sponsoring local events to providing laptops to disadvantaged children, ITVET already does a lot for the community. And they’re set to make an even bigger impact with their newly founded charity.

The next big project for them is to set up a community fridge in Bishop’s Stortford to help reduce food waste and promote a circular economy.
