Summer music festival Stortford Heroes: Party in the Park has announced a stellar line-up featuring The Brand New Heavies, The Hoosiers, Kelli-Leigh, BBC Introducing, and much more.
Pioneers of the London Acid Jazz scene, The Brand New Heavies, will be closing the curtains on the main stage. They’ve sold over 2.5 million records, achieved 16 UK top 40 singles, and released two double platinum-selling albums. Formed in Ealing, West London, they’re best known for a string of hits in the 90s including ‘Dream Come True’, ‘Never Stop’, and ‘Stay This Way’.
Pop-rock band, The Hoosiers, have had multi-platinum success with their 2007 debut album ‘The Trick to Life’ and singles such as ‘Worried About Ray’ and ‘Goodbye Mr. A’.
Kelli-Leigh is a South London singer and songwriter who has provided vocals on the number 1 hits ‘I Got U’ by Duke Dumont featuring Jax Jones and ‘I Wanna Feel’ by Second City. Her voice has been streamed over 500 million times and she’s made several guest appearances on Radio 1 Live Lounge.
As well as chart-topping hits, Party in the Park has teamed up with BBC Introducing to showcase an array of rising stars as heard on local BBC Radio & BBC Radio 1. The up-and-coming artists they’ll be featuring will be announced soon…
The eclectic line-up also includes local acts like Kiyra Vidal, Scarlet Thomas, and Maystones. As well as entertainment from comedian, Simon Brodkin, best known for his chav character and public pranks such as passing Teresa May a P45 form.
CEO of ITVET Ltd, Daryl Fuller, said: “We’re delighted to have such an incredible line up. I’m so pleased that we have managed to secure headline acts to perform on the day alongside some truly talented up and coming artists. Our producers have worked really hard to make sure we were able to showcase local acts because community is at the heart of this event. It sure will be a day to remember!”
Party in the Park, sponsored by ITVET, is a free community event to celebrate unsung local heroes. It takes place on Saturday 16th July at Sworder’s Field, Bishop’s Stortford. The family-friendly festival, packed with live music, entertainment, and activities for the kids, is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.
