Volunteers needed for Stortford Heroes: Party in the Park

Jun 16, 2022 • 2 min read

The free tickets for Party in the Park are all gone, but you can still get into the party of the year by volunteering to help us put on the party of the year! The event organisers are looking for volunteers to cover a range of roles such as stewarding, hospitality, backstage support, and much more.

Party in the Park is a free event to celebrate local heroes, especially those who supported us throughout the pandemic. It’s completely community-driven, relying on the help and support of local businesses and volunteers.

As a volunteer, you will be part of a fantastic team and will receive food and drink on the day, and when you are not working you get to enjoy some fantastic entertainment too! It’s for a really good cause, and volunteering is very rewarding. All proceeds will be donated to the four headline charities – Stortford Heroes, Grove Cottage, Bishop’s Stortford Food Bank, and Centre Algarve.

CEO of ITVET, Retail Report’s parent company, Richard Fountain, said: “Volunteers are a key component of the event, helping us ensure everything runs smoothly on the day. I would urge as many people as possible to get involved and help us create an amazing day for our local unsung heroes. Volunteering is an incredible way to give back to the community, meet new people, and learn new skills – While also having fun!”

Party in the Park takes place on Saturday 16th July at Sworder’s Field, Bishop’s Stortford, and features headliners The Brand New Heavies and Hoosiers.
